American English

Phillstock Entertainment presents a new play by Tyler Phillips, directed by Carly Howard.
MARCH 9-11, 2012 @ 17 Frost Theatre of the Arts in Brooklyn
AMERICAN ENGLISH is an impressionist comedy following the journey of Isaiah, a young and less-than-ambitious New York City nine-to-five-er, who drops everything after receiving an urgent letter from his childhood sweetheart. His impromptu trip back home goes awry almost immediately and leads Isaiah on a surreal trip across the East Coast of America where he is confronted with a reality populated by aliens, tent people, highly classified government projects, resurrected heroes from American History, and some drunk ass bears.

Carly recently joined up with her brother, Garrison York, and their friend Aaron Jones, to form Video Camp, a new music project. They just recently finished writing music for Sparrowtree's upcoming production of Metropolis, that will feature a new cut of the classic sci-fi film, two other live bands, and dance. You can hear some of their music at: www.soundcloud.com/videocamp. You can buy tickets to Metropolis at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/174560. You can probably also do many other things like ride a unicycle or buy a monkey. But not at any of these websites.
